Frosted Pumpkin Bars

So yummy. These bars are always a hit, whether made with pumpkin or bananas!
1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
2 cups sugar
3 eggs
1 1/2 cups pumpkin puree
1 tsp. vanilla
2 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg

Frosting:
1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
1 package (8oz) cream cheese
2 tsp vanilla
4 cups powdered sugar

In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar. Beat in eggs, pumpkin and vanilla. Combine the flour, baking soda and salt; add to creamed mixture and mix well. Pour into greased cake pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes or you can insert a knife or toothpick in the middle and it comes out clean.

For frosting, cream butter and cream cheese in mixing bowl. Add vanilla. Gradually add powdered sugar. Beat well.

Wow, those look like they'd hit the spot for me. How about pumpkin and banana ;). Just thinking about it makes me hungry.
